For the concert the dancers wear a white dress and the dads wear a dark suit.
There are 6 rehearsals on the following (tentative) dates*.
· July 30th, August 27th, September 17th, October 15th, November 5th plus Dress Rehearsal 13th November ( plus November 13th Stage Rehearsal if needed). * We try not to change the rehearsal schedule, but this is “showbiz” and circumstances beyond our control sometimes cause schedule changes. If the schedule is adjusted we will provide at least 24 hours notice. We will communicate with Daddy/Daughter participants via Facebook private group. If you do not have Facebook or if you never check it, please prepare now for the communication. |
Please read the following information very carefully before committing to the Daddy/Daughter Dance 2019The non-refundable fee to participate is $99 (includes all rehearsals, dress rehearsal and a choreography streaming video). You can book your Daddy/Daughter Dance space via Try Booking:
The Daddy/Daughter dance is great fun but it also involves lifting your daughter (sometimes over your head-for smaller/younger dancers), memorizing choreography and several hours of rehearsals. If you have back problems or other physical conditions that prohibit you from lifting your daughter, please check with your doctor and contact us before you register.

At MSJ, we believe in creating positive experiences and lasting memories. The Daddy/Daughter dance is an experience that will last a lifetime! Spending time at rehearsal and working through choreography with your daughter is never time wasted. The memories of class, in fact, are as significant as performing the actual dance on stage in front of an audience. Try to remember this important fact if you feel confused, frustrated and tired during rehearsal. This time with your daughter is for you and your daughter… it is unique, important and very special.
All rehearsals are “Closed Rehearsals”, meaning Mums, friends and family may not watch the daddy daughter rehearsals.
We realize that many dads travel out of town on business, however rehearsal attendance is very important. You may miss only one rehearsal (not the dress rehearsal) and you should try not to miss any of the last three rehearsals, which is when actual on-stage placements occur. Unfortunately, we are unable to alter the rehearsal schedule to accommodate individual travel plans, illness, vacation etc. |
*Granddads, Uncles, Big Brothers, Cousins, Friends, Guardians are invited to perform if a dancer’s father is absent or otherwise unable to perform. If you’re lucky enough to be a dancer with two mums and no “father”, pick one of your mums, buy a white dress and a dark suit and dance your heart out! If you have two dads, train them both! Since we have two shows, you can dance in more than one show.
